The Equality of Respect
As women in the lifestyle, we have grown accustomed to the pampering, compliments and support we receive from our male lifestyle members. Because of them we feel desired, beautiful, powerful and special.
As a young woman I suffered from low self esteem and sometimes still do. Hated what stared back at me from the mirror. Spent countless years alone, unhappy and settling for less than I deserved. This is not exclusively a mind-set for women.
Here's where I climb on my soapbox.
At a recent gathering, I witnessed something that infuriated me. The careless, heartless and, yes, cruel treatment of one of our wonderful gentlemen. Listen up, bitches. Respect goes both ways. The "rejection " should NEVER be rude or hurtful unless the gent is a disrespectful dog. It takes courage to proposition. Before the words escape your lips please turn them on yourself. Would you want those words said to you?
We're here to support. To lift up. To respect one another. To have fun in this crazy world.
Please. Let's not leave hurt and sadness in our wake. Our true friends deserve so much better.
